Ground-breaking new event space Printworks London is taking the events industry by storm, and has now been recognised by several of the most renowned award ceremonies in the business.
The venue has been shortlisted as ‘Best New Event Space’ by the Event Awards, and Hire Space Awards have shortlisted Printworks as a ‘Forward Thinking Venue’ in its ‘Best Newcomer’ category.
Printworks is also a finalist in three categories at the upcoming London Venue Awards. The venue has been shortlisted as a potential winner in the categories: ‘Best New or Refurbished Venue’, ‘Best London Venue (1,000 plus attendees) and ‘Most Versatile London Venue (over 1,000 attendees)’.
Located in Canada Water, Printworks is the perfect venue for producers, agencies and brands, with some of the most creative, flexible and inspiring infrastructure in the UK. The versatile venue has 119,200 sq ft of event space, with a capacity of up to 6,000 guests and a 2am licence at weekends.
Despite being one of London’s newest venues, the past 12 months have been jam-packed with an array of impressive events. Here are a few of our highlights…
We opened our doors for the first time back in September 2016, when Mulberry displayed its Summer 2017 collection from Johnny Coca. Two catwalks paraded the new looks, in the Vanway and Publishing spaces. Amongst the 900 guests, faces on the front row included Lady Mary Charteris, Sofia Boutella and Anais Gallagher.
In December, we saw Project Pogba launch at Printworks London with adidas. The man himself, Paul Pogba, was choppered in from Manchester, and joined by the night’s hosts Stormzy and Radio 1Xtra DJ, Twin B.
A seven-scene interactive production, entitled ‘The Night That Flows’, was staged within Printworks London, for Toyota’s CH-R automotive debut. The evening experience saw over 100 guests immersed in a fictional story that flowed through five European cities, including Berlin, Milan, Paris, Barcelona and London.
In March, to mark the launch of their highly anticipated new album, ‘Humanz’, Gorillaz performed a one-off show at a secret location, Printworks London. The world’s most successful virtual band wowed fans and industry heads with support from Telekom Electric Beats.
GitHub Satellite went into orbit with the London extension of the GitHub Universe conference, held at Printworks in May. At the event, 500 guests learnt how to bring together the people and tools they would need to build great software, using the GitHub platform. They also experienced digital art installations, enjoyed some of London’s best street food and exchanged experiences with world-renowned developers.
The venue has attracted rave reviews from some of big names…
Elle Magazine – “Just: YES”
Time Out – “The place is genuinely impressive”
Guardian – “Eye-popping”
Evening Standard – “A new lease of life”
Amy Lamé, Night Czar for Mayor of London – “Printworks is a venue unlike any other in the capital and I’m so excited about the launch of this innovative space.”
