We’re honoured to host the final show of Red Bull Music‘s first London festival with none other than Aphex Twin, marking one of Printworks’ most exciting shows to date on 14th September.
As a tireless creative force in electronic music with incalculable influence on artists from the early 90s until today, Aphex Twin is an artist we’ve wanted to invite to the Press Halls since we first opened our doors. His many releases and many pseudonyms have helped genres as diverse as IDM, drill’n’bass to ambient techno to breakcore – but James himself has always been far beyond the pack, his music defined by a giddy virtuosity and puckish humour.
For our first Autumn show of 2019 expect a unique, custom-built stage set featuring lasers and 306 LED panels, which will transmit visuals from long-term Aphex collaborators Weirdcore. The show will also feature support from a number of artists handpicked by Richard D James himself: Manchester electro producer Afrodeutsche, Uganda drum troupe Nihiloxica and ambient artist Caterina Barbieri.
