The Hydra serve up another carefully curated lineup on Saturday 15th November to showcase the very best, cutting-edge and most forward looking techno artists from all around the world.
Representing the original Detroit sound is the one and only Jeff Mills, whose intergalactic sounds are truly from another world, as well as peerless live duo Octave One who have been turning out spellbinding sets for more than two decades. Then there is Berghain giant and contemporary techno titan Marcel Dettmann, plus recent album man and Ternesc label boss Blawan, who has a visceral, raw and truly unique take on the genre, UK stalwart and Blueprint label boss James Ruskin, who has been at the heart of the scene since day one, and Anastasia Kristensen who is an uncompromising force of nature who brings a whirlwind of emboldened intensity that can be felt equally through her productions and her DJ sets.
And in the Dark Room we have something extra special. UK Techno progenitor Tony Child AKA Surgeon joins us for his most intimate show for an age, as he debuts the Live incarnation of this year’s ‘Luminosity Device’ album. Then the unrelenting and serious dexterous DJ Stingray brings more Detroit techno and electro flavours. More live sets from from Ostgut Ton’s Answer Code Request and Don’t Be Afraid’s singularly techno sorceress Karen Gwyer, with the unpredictable Happa and production powerhouse that is Shed closing out the line-up with Swedish born, Berlin based favourite SPFDJ.
